West World

We hit the road for points west yesterday.  We traveled overland across the country with a brief stop at Connemara’s iconic Kylemore Abbey. As a pit stop: nothing could be dreamier. We wandered the sprawling grounds of this historic country estate. There was a “cathedral in miniature,” a walled Victorian garden, two summer sun-studded mirror lakes, and quite a few sheep selfies. We picked shady spots and got our write on while on the road.

From there, we jumped on a ferry and crossed to Inishbofin—our island retreat from the bustle of big city Dublin. We caught feelings even as we were crossing the water. It was love at first sight.
